The legendary star Marilyn Monroe, who made name as a model and actress, personified and defined Hollywood glamour with an astonishing glow and energy. Marilyn symbolizes beauty and sensuality, yet she is also an inspiration with regards to overcoming obstacles and fulfilling one’s dreams. In creating two separate pieces with the same version of Marilyn’s beautiful face but with a contrasting color scheme, the goal was to illustrate exactly these two distinctive representations of Marylin. While our ‘Red’ version stands for her everlasting image of sensuality, our ‘Blue’ version depicts struggle and hope. This way, two distinct yet complementary versions of Marylin’s power have been captured in a readable way.
