In finding that energetic connection with each other as husband and wife, we carried that passion into our artwork. The basis of our art centers around the beauty of collaboration and its ability to transform not only through one thought process but two separate minds, merged into one beautiful piece. Mainly inspired by pop art, urban art, sports and nature, we have created our own language, one that is uniquely ours that we intend to share with the world.

ANGEL
The beginning of my art journey started in Amsterdam where I studied Art & Design in the early 80’s. Simultaneously, I travelled the world with my bicycle competing in races and eventually, I became Dutch national champion mountainbike. After this, I had the privilege of meeting Japanese artist Hajime Kato in 1990 who lived and worked in Paris. In doing so, Kato encouraged me to experiment with a larger variety of mixed-media materials and styles to broaden my range of art. From that moment on, I felt inspired to explore and reach outside my own boundaries which lead to my work being showcased in exhibitions, sold to collectors as well as companies worldwide such as Nike, O’Neill, ABN AMRO Bank, Raleigh, Footlocker, Scania, and DJ Tiësto.
ANGEL
Nature is at the center and forefront of my work. When I began I was mainly a realistic painter and was then inspired by my uncle Cornelis van den Broek who was a skilled artist that lived in the South of France. This was the birth of my abstract art. The backgrounds that I create hold an organic energy which I produce layer after layer ultimately adding depth. Soon after Jim was recognized for his various works, we began to collaborate. With the backgrounds that mark the beginning of our painting, Jim is able to engage and add his bold lines after. I studied gold and silversmithing and found there was a rare beauty in working with acrylic paint with touches of gold, silver and bronze on not only canvases, but wood and other objects too. The connection we found with each other is a never ending source of inspiration that is evident when you view our iconic, eye-catching originals.
