Description
Mirror 1 and Mirror 2 together make up an interesting reflection. A mirror usually functions as a tool to observe your own image, but it also serves as a symbol for (self) reflection. For both art pieces we used inspiration from rough images of nature, in combination with bold shades of pink and red. Yet, while Mirror 1 has a special touch of golden notes to illustrate warmness and coherence, Mirror 2 shows prominent silver touches that brighten up the piece and create an interesting disturbance to the warmly coloured entity. While this distinction reminds us of the power of mirrors, and how they can show us differentiating sides to the same image, it also shows us that it can be exactly those distinction that can together make up for a complete reflection of oneself.
